Running on Empty : My beauty empties

Empty beauty products

I have had a clearout! Finally I kicked myself into gear and chucked out a lot of crap and realised I was hanging onto a lot of empty products (and no, they are not sentimental enough to keep). Thankfully I wasn't hoarding too much and I wanted to share my thoughts on a few of the empties that I have found (that makes it sound like I have a jungle of products doesn't it?)

*Garnier Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water
Now I have already mumbled on about how much love I have for the Garnier Micellar Water in this post already (shameless bit of encouragement there), but when I ran out at some point, I ended up having to pick this one up. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad product but I couldn't really tell much difference between the Pure Active and the original. Other than a slightly different smell and change in bottle colour, nothing else jumped out at me. Yes it still does the job and removes makeup as perfectly and effortlessly as always, but my skin felt just the same as using the other. Would I buy this again? If I had to and I couldn't get hold of the much loved pink bottle, there is no price difference after all. If it was a choice between the two, I'd stick with the *original Micellar Water.

Nars Pro-Prime
This bottle is so old that Nars don't even sell this product anymore! This sneaky little tube somehow ended up behind my makeup storage and there it rested for months. Thankfully it was empty, because I would not have been a happy bunny having found an old, half empty (or half full) tube that was probably passed it's best. I'm going to put it out there and say that this was my most used, favourite primer. It's not often I find a primer where I'm like "wow this is the balls!" and even though it was a little pricey (somewhere in the £20-£26 region) I would've paid that quite happily again. It lasted me ages and had the best, silkiest texture. I'm gutted that it's not around anymore, but no doubt I will be open to exploring other Nars primers in the future. Pro-Prime you will be missed.

*Nars Skin Hydrating Toner
Whilst I'm already on the Nars subject, I might as well carry on and talk about their hydrating toner. Hydrating is the word! Love this stuff, I've gone through so many bottles over time and the smell is just the definition of fresh. Thank goodness this can still be purchased because I could've been a bit lost without it. It's £23 but once again, I feel I could justify that as it does last and my skin feels great for it. The freshest toner I have tried to date.

*Urban Decay All Nighter Spray
So many people love this spray and I do too, as mentioned here. A part of me misses the old design, but I'm still a fan. I can't imagine that I will ever stop purchasing this product.

*CK One Shock
It's probably a bit of an old school fragrance, but I still love it. The floral smell takes me back to so many memories and although it isn't my favourite and most used fragrance, I would buy this again. It's ridiculously cheap in some places so I wouldn't be hard pushed to casually pick one up in passing. If you only want to spend around £15 on a new scent, go for this one.

*Maybelline Eraser Eye
I'm not strictly out of this product, but the sponge has gone a bit nasty and I don't need any other excuse for breakouts right now. I already have plans to pick another one up this weekend so I can cope for a couple of days. It is a really good concealer for anyone looking to try it out.
*Lottie London Soap Star Solid Brush Cleanser
Well that's a bit of a mouthful isn't it? I was so desperate to try this for the longest time. I finally found it and.. I was disappointed. The cleanser does obviously clean brushes fine but after one use (admittedly I do have a fair few brushes and blenders, but still)  I was only left with a solid soap no bigger than the size of a 50p coin. I'll stick to RT or baby shampoo for now.
