First Impressions of The Body Shop's Japanese Matcha Tea Mask

I don't often do first impression blog posts, however having recently won a competition from The Body Shop I thought this would be the perfect opportunity. The Japanese Matcha Tea Mask claims to deeply purify and gently exfoliate your skin. It also currently has a five star rating of customer reviews so I was rather excited to try it. I love trying out new skincare products so it wasn't long after this arrived that I had to give it a mini trial.

The scent of the product is just amazing and it smells so fresh. With a combination of matcha tea and dandelion, it's no surprise really. It's also a beautiful green shade that somehow makes it feel luxurious. I would also like to add that this product is vegan friendly which is a huge bonus.

I first tried the face mask by applying to my T zone and I was a little surprised with the results. I kept the mask on for around 10 to 15 minutes. The texture is very soft and initially comfortable on the skin however after a short period of time the mask started to tingle and felt quite harsh. I do suffer with sensitive skin so this may not be my perfect match however I certainly want to try it out again and see what happens. After washing away the mask my skin did feel noticeably softer and had a slight fresh glow, so it did do a good job. Hopefully after a few tries my skin will settle down and adjust to this formula. If you would like to try this mask out for yourself, the cost is £16 for a 75ml tub.

Have you ever tried this mask and have sensitive skin? I would love to know your thoughts.
