There's something about haircare posts that really interest me, which is weird because if I'm being completely honest, I find washing my hair the ultimate chore. I've been making the biggest effort lately to be more aware of the products I'm using and trying to keep my locks as healthy as possible. So if you're interested, here is my current hair care routine.
Lush H'suan Wen Hua Hair Treatment
If you have been dipping into previous posts, it will come to no surprise that I was going to mention the Lush H'suan Wen Hua hair treatment. I bloody love this stuff and I try and use it atleast once a week. It's deeply conditioning and my hair always feels incredibly healthy after a good 20+ min session. I say 20+ because 20 mins is the recommended time on the tub but I am yet to stick to this, mainly because I get distracted and 45mins later I manage to convince myself to go and wash my hair. It's never done any harm for me. After past hair disasters (more about this here) this has pretty much been my saviour and my hair feels better than ever.
*John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Deeper Shampoo
When a product's almost empty, you know it's been a hit. Anything dedicated to enhancing colour without being damaging is atleast worth a try in my book. I wouldn't say my hair has drastically changed, but I do see subtle hints of changes in tone and that's good enough for me. Of course my hair feel beautifully clean to.. if I didn't the shampoo would be pretty pointless. I love the smell! I can't quite put my finger on it but it has that luxury product aroma (if you know what I mean?).
*John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Deeper Conditioner
I feel like it would be sacrilege to use the John Frieda shampoo and not pair it up with the conditioner from the same range. That and the fact that my inner OCD would not approve. It smells just as good and gives my hair a real boost of silkiness, so no complaints there. I usually leave this in for awhile and shower before washing out, just for a mini deep condition (if there is such a thing).
*Tangle Teezer
Do I love this product? I'm 50/50. Having been blessed.. or sometimes cursed with thick hair, it can be a bloody nightmare trying to brush through, especially after a shower. On many occasions Jase has had to help before I resort to pulling my hair to shreds and throwing the brush across the room (the only occasion where I may have anger issues). The Tangle Teezer helps tame the ends of my hair, but the rest is handed over to a big trusty brush.
*VO5 Plump It Up Amplifying Blow Dry Lotion
I actually have a heck load of VO5 products.. I think it's the pink bottles that I can't seem to say no to. After the gargantuan and stressful task of brushing through my hair, I whip out the hair-dryer ready for action. To be honest this is only when I'm going out, I'm lazy and if I'm not leaving the house.. drip dry it is. This spray is the nicest smelling, volumising, heat protecting formula that I love to use before blasting my head. I am quite concious of remembering to use some sort of heat defence now days and I don't want any reason for my hair to become a wreck. This heat spray does the trick.
So there you have it, my hair routine. Impressed I can imagine. Anyone else get stressed over hair care? I'd love to know your routine.

I love the John Frieda Shampoo, I noticed slight changes to my hair too! I really like the tangle teezer and I kinda like it doesn't have a handle on it so it's easy for travelling xx
